Sober House for women. Total Occupancy: 7
This publicly supported, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation is the umbrella organization which provides the network connecting all Oxford Houses and allocates resources to duplicate the Oxford House concept where needs arise. Oxford House is a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In its simplest form, an Oxford House describes a democratically run, self-supporting and drug free home. The number of residents in a House may range from six to fifteen; there are houses for men, houses for women, and houses which accept women with children.

I brought my best friend here earlier in the year with the hope that by coming here she would be able to finally maintain her sobriety. However, she was kicked out shortly after entering the house and died yesterday from Liver failure. I believe that had she of not been kicked out; she might still be with us. But regrettably, I have lost my best friend; who was like a big sister to me, and her family has lost a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She and I had so many plans we had talked about for our future and now those will never happen. Her grandchildren no longer have her. I question several aspects of this company and feel that it should be thoroughly investigated and shutdown. If you truly care about your loved one with a substance use issue; I would take them elsewhere.
