Admissions
If you are interested in attending treatment at New Horizon Treatment Services, please contact their intake department at (609) 394-8988 and dial extension 48.
At that time they will work with you to schedule a date for your intake.
An intake on average will take anywhere from 2 hour to 3 hours.
Each program may have slight differences in procedure and paperwork and therefore the length of the intake will vary.
Please schedule your intake time accordingly as to allow up to 3 hours for the intake to be completed.
The intake is the first step in entering treatment at New Horizon Treatment Services.
First you will need to contact the intake department and complete a phone screening in which the screener will obtain general information about your desire for treatment.
After you have completed the screening, the screener will work with you to schedule a date to complete your intake at New Horizon Treatment Services. Upon arrival you will check in at the front desk.
Once you have checked in, a member of the intake team will escort you to a room where the intake will be completed.
During the intake you may be asked questions pertaining to your mental health, substance use, medical concerns and others.
The purpose of these questions is to better understand your need for treatment as well as to tailor your treatment specifically to you.
The intake worker will also ask you to sign some paperwork pertaining to your treatment at New Horizon Treatment Services.
You will also be asked to provide a urine drug screen and obtain a Mantoux tuberculin test (TB test) on the same day as your intake.
Both the urine drug screen and Mantoux tuberculin test are agency requirements and are necessary to move forward with treatment at New Horizon Treatment Services.
In some cases, if required by your program, you will complete a medical evaluation as well as dosing in addition to the urine drug screen and Mantoux tuberculin test.
