Guiding Light Recovery helps men with substance abuse problems achieve recovery from addiction. Their program is free, long-term, faith based, uses 12 step programming, and includes professional counseling.
Guiding Light Recovery helps men become sober through a combination of spiritual, 12 step, and therapy-based programming.
Clients complete a 7–10 day probationary period and then are fully admitted into the program. During the day, their men follow a schedule which includes classes on spirituality and recovery, devotions, and daily attendance at AA/NA meetings. After four months in the program, their men receive free vocational support as they integrate back into the workforce. In addition, graduates of their program are eligible to apply for transitional housing at Iron House, a mission-owned residential property
Eligibility
Prospective Clients must be able and willing to work.
Persons who receive SSI or other monies are ineligible for their program.
They accept persons with felonies, but may reject an individual who has recent violent felonies.
