The mission of the Good News Home is to provide a comprehensive long and short-term residential substance abuse treatment program that offers a professional, non-denominational, Christian approach, focusing on healing the total woman utilizing Christian 12-steps, addiction counseling, life skills and spiritual counseling to overcome drug addiction, with integrated treatment as appropriate for clients who have been diagnosed with co-occurring mental disorders.
Underlying their mission is the basic philosophy that faith in God can do for them that they cannot do for ourselves.
The purpose of their program is to rehabilitate women who have life-destroying problems associated with substance abuse.
The Good News Home endeavors to help its clients become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive.
ADMISSION to their program usually begins by contacting one of their intake counselors.
A woman will only be admitted after it is determined that she is "ready" to make a commitment to complete the program that has been deemed appropriate for her.
Interviews with prospective residents include collecting information that is professionally assessed in order to develop an individualized plan of treatment.
A new resident first completes an orientation phase before she begins to fully participate in the program and continue in her process of recovery.
The Home is a special place.
It is blessed with qualified staff that works together as devoted members of a family, all-working in His service to bring hope to the hopeless.
Their family creates an environment of love, understanding, encouragement and support, but with expectations of mutual respect and productive and responsible living.
They offer comprehensive short and long-term residential treatment programs.
The length of stay depends upon each woman's needs and her response to treatment.
While maintaining compliance with the State of New Jersey drug rehabilitation program mandates, their program incorporates the application of Biblical concepts to promote the primary focus of the recovery process, which is to build a spiritual foundation.
