Mental Health Systems (MHS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 to provide innovative and cost-effective mental health and drug and alcohol recovery services. Our agency was established to improve people’s lives and instill hope by using new and creative treatment strategies that respect time-proven methods of intervention.
Floyd Farrow Substance Abuse Unit (SAU) program is a 40-bed in custody program at the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Campus program. The program provides client centered strength based residential, day intensive and outpatient substance abuse treatment. We collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes teachers, probation officers, clinicians, counselors and families. We offer the education, early intervention and treatment that allows dually diagnosed and criminally addicted adolescents to recover from the effects of all mood-altering chemicals.
Our treatment components include: Comprehensive assessments; Individual and group therapy; Multi-family groups; Psycho-education; Case management; Family therapy.
Our program is composed of: Therapy and process groups; Community and gender specific groups; Life skills/socialization; Anger management; Recreational and art therapy; Support groups.
