The Addiction Treatment Center of New England in Brighton, Massachusetts, is a clinically operated drug treatment program designed to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for clients in the greater Boston, Massachusetts area.. Our programs help clients gain control over their drug problems and learn alternatives to their addictive behavior.
ATCNE specializes in the treatment of opiate dependency, adhering to a philosophy that multimodal methadone services are an effective treatment for narcotic dependence.

Take the MBTA Green Line via Boston College/Commonwealth Avenue (B line) to the Warren Street stop. Brighton Marine Health Center is a half of a block from the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Warren Street.
Admission Requirements and Referrals
For methadone maintenance services, applicants must meet the following Federal and program criteria:
For admission to drug-free treatment, a prospective client must be applying for treatment voluntarily, and complete required parts of the intake process.
For admission into methadone detoxification or methadone maintenance services, applicants must voluntarily apply for treatment, display signs of current physiological addiction to opiates as evidenced by withdrawal signs and symptoms, and complete all parts of the intake process. Applicants to the methadone maintenance program must also have a verifiable history of opioid addiction dating back at least one year. Admission to drug-free treatment requires voluntary application and completion of all parts of the intake process.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
ATCNE's weekly fee includes a full course of methadone treatment services: medical diagnostics and care, laboratory fees, medication, individual counseling and group therapy.
Funding from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Division of Substance Abuse Services allows us to provide services on a sliding scale based on income.
Charges for drug-free treatment services vary according to modality and are also subject to a sliding scale.

Insurance Plans
ATCNE accepts some insurance plans. ATCNE services are available at no fee to most Medicaid recipients. Coverage may vary depending on the plan. Patients may be responsible for co-payments. Insurance Plans we accept include Partnership, Medicaid, Boston Medical Center (BMC), Neighborhood Health Plan (NHP), Tufts Network Health, Celticare or Cenpatico, Harvard Pilgrim (with a $20 co-pay), and Tufts. We do accept a small number of clients on a self-pay basis as well.
